On June 28, 2017, the AHEAD AWARDS AMERICAS 2017 awards event was held at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, designed bye Herzog & De Meuron.

The AHEAD awards seek to recognize the world leaders in hotel design, those offices that are generating avant-garde and an innovative vision (AHEAD), seeking to create new experiences within the Hotel Industry. There are four regional events celebrating the most outstanding hotel designs in America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, which finally culminate competing in a world biennial. These awards ceremonies were held in Singapore, Miami, Dubai and London respectively. Nominees compete within various design categories, one which is Landscape & Outdoor Spaces.

Chablé Resort & Spa received the first place in the event as the "Best Landscape & Outdoor Spaces in Hotels of America 2017", for its "excellence of landscape architecture and design of outdoor areas that really contribute to a great experience oh the Hotel". The prize was presented by Tom Parker, President of the company Tucci. The jury commented that Chablé Landscape & Outdoor Spaces was recognized for "the integration and respect for the natural and existing elements on the site", representing a great recognition for Maat Handasa SC in an international event.
